(US) County helps facilitate Waystation reopening

Reaching an agreement that could ultimately save wild animals,
Wildlife Waystation and Los Angeles County officials expect to sign a
memorandum of understanding this week that would allow the Tujunga
facility to resume rescuing sick and homeless creatures.

County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, who visited the facility a
few weeks ago, has helped to remove some of the roadblocks to obtain
building and land-use permits that were threatening to derail the
facility's efforts to reopen, Antonovich's spokesman Tony Bell said
